The Redline Platform is a tool through which anyone can safely and securely report incidents of violation of their right to freedom of expression. The Redline Platform is a reporting tool developed and run by the Association for Democracy in the Maldives, a registered human rights organisation. This privacy policy will explain how The Redline Platform uses your personal data when you use our website.

What data do we collect?
  • The Redline Platform collects the following data from your voluntary submissions:
  • Age, Location, Nationality, Contact number, E-mail address, Dates, Details of incidents, Details of institutions, Details of non-state actors, Details of Freedom of Expression Violations and Details of interactions with the police or authorities.
  • Names and other details are voluntary but will be collected.
How do we collect your data?
  • The user provides the data collected by The Redline Platform. We collect and process the data when you:
  • Voluntarily submit a report
  • Voluntarily submit a query.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
How will we use your data?
  • The Redline Platform will use the provided data to prepare and generate reports. However, personal details will not be shared without the express consent of the user.
  • The Redline Platform will not share your personal data with any third-party actors without the user’s consent.
How do we store your data?
  • The Redline Platform stores your data securely and safely. Data will be stored for no more than 365 days and will be deleted at the end of the time period. Data will be permanently deleted from our servers.

What are your data protection rights?

The Redline Platform would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request from The Redline Platform for copies of your personal data.
